70 Ton Induction Furnace Magnetic Yoke
Seventy tons is the largest melting-furnace yoke published here. The core is Nippon Steel high-permeability cold-rolled 230 silicon steel, arc-stacked on a locating fixture so the limb follows the coil.
A dual-circuit water channel is welded to the stainless plate. Six stainless bolts clamp the column. Coverage of the coil surface is above 60 percent. Cut edges receive a DuPont anti-arc insulating coating, and the water circuit is pressure-tested and flow-tested.
A 70 ton replacement should be quoted from the coil drawing. Shell diameter alone is not enough.
